Woman who built house in a magical Rakau Mate tree sentenced to 30 years in prison

On Sunday the 31st of October the traditional event Manaakitanga was planned. The event is held in the Rakau Mate forest in the North of Whenua. When the organizers arrived at the place, they discovered that one of the ancient old trees looked different from the others. Besides the tree being dead, it also had an extraordinary form. When they had a closer look at the tree, they discovered a hole that led to the inside of the tree. The tree was hollow and furnished as a house. The woman who lived there has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.
