Whenua is a beautiful country known for its nature. We received the Ecolabel for greenest country and use this to attract tourists. Lango da rangi, which means "gate of heaven" in Whenuaans, is a holiday resort where people can mentally unwind. Tourists come here to relax and feel at one with nature. This project came about through the cooperation with the local population. A local non-profit organization working for peace between the north and south of the country brought together craftsmen who handcrafted everything on the property.
The resort is committed to sustainability. The entire accommodation is made of wood that was cut in an ecological way, without damaging nature too much. Showering is done with rainwater and only natural soaps and shampoos without plastic residues may be used.
In Lango da rangi, workshops are offered. These workshops all take place in nature and have a positive influence on the mental health of the guests. For example, you can take yoga classes, meditate, take part in sport activities... A library and swimming pool are also available. In the exclusive spa, guests can enjoy treatments based on mud. In addition, you can also participate in multi-day camping trips. In the evening you can enjoy performances by locals that are accompanied traditional dance and song.
Our concept is aimed at people over 25 years old because we want to focus mainly on people who really want to immerse themselves in nature.
The domain is located in the middle of the Katikati valley. This valley is located in the mountains, on the border between north and south Whenua. The valley is densely covered with trees and plants. You will find lakes, rivers and waterfalls. A perfect place to unwind. The guests of our resort stay in tiny houses and tree houses. Our entire accommodation is made of wood, sustainability is an important aspect.
Of course we offer different packages that differ in price. We keep it small-scale because we don't want to exploit the land and nature. Therefore the price is a bit higher as it also has to be profitable. We use three types of formulas. The first formula lasts one week, the second two weeks and the third three weeks. The longer the stay, the higher the price. Prices start at 1050$ per week. All meals are included in the price, as is airport transportation. The activities can be booked at your choice. The activities themselves are provided by locals. Since wages are quite low in the country, the prices of the activities are also quite low. For 40$ you can book a yoga session.
Because we want to keep it small-scale, we mainly want to attract guests through word-of-mouth advertising. We also use an attractive website and Instagram page. Here potential guests can see exactly what our concept is. Via sponsored posts on Instagram we make use of promotion.
